East meets West – meditative classical music and Sanskrit mantras

Om Namah Sivaya!

With the end of lockdown and spring’s arrival soon, I am happy to share my next adventure. I teamed up with my long-time friend, yoga student, and talented classical pianist Andrea Kmecova to combine classical piano music and Sanskrit mantra invocation.

This online concert will be quite different, innovative and experimental, and I hope you’ll join us.

Andrea summarised this concert as follows: You will be treated to reflective Western classical music. I have picked pieces by Bach, Chopin, Rachmaninov, Debussy, and Satie, and I will also include modern composers such as Villa-Lobos, Ennio Morricone, Arvo Pärt, and Philip Glass.

Short mindfulness meditation with Sanskrit mantra invocation at the start and end of the concert will enrich the experience of listening to meditative piano compositions.
Curious? Check out our short video and chat about the concert.

NB: The UK will be moving to British Summer Time in the early hours of the 28th, so remember to change the clocks one hour forward on the concert day. Book your ticket on the button below:

If you buy the Patron Ticket, please email pianistandrea@gmail.com with your suggestions for music you’d like to hear. We look forward to seeing you at the concert, and hopefully, together, we’ll inhale the sound of music and exhale a sense of calm and peace.

Om Shanti,
Shankara, aka Marc Leonard
