This video is for Yoga Beginners who are seeking inner peace and calmness.
Today, I am sharing with you how I find peace of mind by repeating Ram which is a seed mantra like Om, Aim or Hrim. Those are very short and easy to remember. Our mind is a monkey, with the repetition of mantras our mind gets busy and we can find stillness. Do not repeat mechanically, repeat it from your heart 💛. I love to repeat my Japa 📿 with a melody. I chant the mantra whilst cycling which is so relaxing.
Japa and the meaning:
The term means muttering, whispering or murmuring passages from the scripture, or charms, or names of a deity. Often it is the repetitive singing of a verse or mantra, sometimes counted with the help of a rosary which is called Japa-mala. A mala has 108 beads representing the holy number.
Rama or Ram (Sanskrit: राम) also known as Ramachandra (Sanskrit: रामचन्द्र), is a major deity in Hinduism. He is the seventh avatar of Vishnu, one of his most popular incarnations along with Krishna, Parshurama, and Gautama Buddha.
Remember, you do not need to buy yoga pants if you are a beginner, start with comfortable clothes and follow my lessons. You can use any yoga wheel, which is sturdy enough to hold your weight. You can lay a yoga mat underneath. Do not cheat and remove any yoga blocks or other yoga props from the area you are practising. Follow my tips!
Step 1 – Choose a seed mantra i.e. Om, Ram, Hrim …
Step 2 – Repeat it from the heart 💛
Step 3 – Combine it with a melody 🎵
Step 4 – Enjoy the moment when you keep your monkey 🐒 mind busy.
Om Shanti!
